Upload faster than download - reversed when using speedtest details.

Morning.

I've just had an engineer attend to fix the fault with my phone line - there had been no dial tone.  He replaced the SSFP Infinity plate with a new one and the phone started working again.  Now I have an issue with my broadband.

I performed the BT Wholesale tests as directed and found the results were almost reversed when using the BT details for the second round.

First of all with my usual details

Download speed achieved during the test was - 5.64 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-55.3 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 55.3 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 15.49Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

Using speedtest@speedtest_domain - note how the situation appears reversed.

Your service was found to be performing poorly.
Please raise a fault with your service provider, stating that the BT Performance Tester tool indicates poor service throughput performance after the third test.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 41.79 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-55.3 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 55.3 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 3.16Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

I have switched off the modem etc for 5 minutes and then repowered and there is no difference.  These tests were carried out on a desktop hard wired into the router.  I have also tested with a laptop hard wired in and the results are very similar.  Help would be appreciated please.

Thanks

The profile on our end needed updating.

Can you test it in the next 15 minutes?

Hi

I certainly can.  I will run the same set of tests and let you know what I find.

Many thanks
