Upload expected from 55/10 after strong 40/20 performance

I've now finally been migrated to the pukka 55/10 wholesale product, according to the BTWholesale speed test, after a few weeks on Plusnet's "interestingly managed" throttled service. Ookla speedtest now typically gives about 51/8.5. The download is about what I would expect, but the upload seems slightly on the low side; I would have expected more like 9.5 (I used to get 19 upload off the old 40/20) but how is anyone else faring? Or is the physical limit on bandwidth based on download+upload like in the old analogue modem days, in which case 51+8.5=59.5 vs 38+19=57, so lucky to be getting even that much after the inevitable populist bias in favour of download speed? Or is there still some throttling Plusnet have forgotten to switch off?

fwiw, I'm on 55/10 too.  Using my windows laptop, speedtest.net returns  9.37 mbps upload this early evening.

I'm on 55/10 and  generally get upload speeds (on Ookla's Speedtest) of around 9.3. When I was on 40/20 I was getting around 14.

There are a couple of other threads about 55/10 in this forum - some people have been having download speed problems, but I don't think there have been as many upload problems.
