Upload Speed Increase

The schedule is for everybody to be upgraded before the end of November although a little birdie told me those complaining about getting a freebie go to the end of the queue

not much or a freebie, i was down graded to 2mb (1.79mb actually). im only looking to go back to what i signed up for at the start of my contract.

if im at the end of the queue i dont care, as you say we all will get upgraded by the end of november, but more sheep need to vote with their feet if this is not the case, all the other isp's have at least 5 times the upload speed.

I'm in NI and mine has been upgraded today from 1.8 to 5.5 upload speed.

Are you on a new contract? How many months have you got to go? I've 4 left on a 18th month plan at the portadown bt exchange.

What are your estimated speeds on BT's DSLchecker?

They might be upgrading people by the length of their contract left. If they are they will have a lot if people leaving for other isp's as they are ready to jump ship to get a Topcashback deal lol

I used Quidco to cover the initial fees here and have had a subsequent deal which means I ain't going anywhere soon.

Mind you, there is g.Fast on the horizon...

@RTNI as a matter of interest, did you get any emails to inform you that the change was/had happened ?

Apart from the initial generic one that is, to say that everyone was being upgraded.

My speeds seem to align with the impacts range on the dal checker. The max upload for that was 6.5

Didn't get any emails to say it had completed. I just happened to do a speed test on my mobile and saw the upload speed had increased

That concurs with my observations!. I just happened to see a service notice on my account.

@JonoH shouldn't there be some notification to the user that it's happened ?

My upload speed has gone up to 3Mbps but my download has dropped from 20Mbps to 17.5.

I was always getting 19.5 - 20.5 before.

Up to 5 days after the order completes we should have sent a confirmation that the order was successful.
