Upgraded to fibre but still have ADSL speeds ticket 145647429

Please respond to ticket 145647429 - I am still getting ADSL speeds in spite of getting a new fibre connection. The whole episode of upgrading has been fraught with problems - some of which was due to an Open Reach engineer not connecting the jumpers properly in the cabinet. My speeds are 11.8 down and 1.24 up  - not the 27 and 2 that I was expecting. The line profile is set to 14.28 and 2 so there must be something that can be done. Please help.

Spoke to an assistant this morning on chat - said that the line profile required to be reset - rebooted the router but the line profile settings are the same. 14.75 down and 1.35 up - please look at this again.

Re: Upgraded to fibre but still have ADSL speeds ticket 145647429

Hi there @suilvenorkney I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your speed. I've tested your line and I can confirm that fibre has been provided. As your speeds are in sync below the estimate the next step is to arrange another engineer I'm afraid.

I've updated your fault ticket and sent you a text message asking for your availability. Once you reply to this, let me know on here and I can it get booked in for you.

Re: Upgraded to fibre but still have ADSL speeds ticket 145647429

The engineer said that speeds were reasonable for a 40/2 line - what I required was a 80/20 for the speed I required - particularly for uploads. I have replied to the ticket in more detail.

Re: Upgraded to fibre but still have ADSL speeds ticket 145647429

The so called "engineer" is talking nonsense, you would not get faster speeds with an 80/20 connection apart from possibly better upload but PlusNet will not provide it as your estimated download is below 40Mbps.

@suilvenorkney - Honestly, I agree with @RealAleMadrid. Also, looking through the engineer notes they've indicated the line is too long to support a faster speed I'm afraid. I've updated your ticket too.
