Upgraded to Fibre Extra but my line still hasn't adjusted

Hello - I recently upragded my line from Fibre to Fibre Extra.

 

I would have expected to see higher speeds which are listed on my account but they're still the same as before. Could someone at that end check for me please?

 

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre Extra
  • Estimated Download Range: 36 - 53Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 7 - 12Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 31.8Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 46Mbps

It's quite likely that your speed will not improve significantly as it's currently in the guaranteed range. Plusnet try to flog an upgrade to the higher speed if the estimated maximum is higher than 40Mbps, which yours is. To be honest the minor speed improvement that your line will support is not really worth the increased cost. I would seek a return to the 40/10 service.

Hi @tomplums, thanks for getting in touch. I have tested your line and your current sync speed is 51.3mb (looks like there's been a steady increase since last Wednesday).

 

As @Baldrick1 as mentioned, there's not much we can do to be honest to improve this as it is within the lines estimates but if you are having any issues at all, please do just let us know.
