Upgraded to Fibre Extra but BTOR profile still at 38

Hi

I upgraded the 76M product over 14 working days ago, however, no real improvement in speed. The Openreach further diagnostic indicates that the IP Profile is still on the old product:

 For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 20 Mbps-38.71 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
 IP Profile for your line is - 38.71 Mbps

How longs does it take for the upgrade to complete ?

Did Plusnet tell you that the upgrade had gone through?

What does it say at http://dslchecker.bt.com for your line? Don't post any information about your telephone number etc.

Yes I has email confirmation of the order (22/2/18) & then contacted them a couple of days after that to find out how long the switch over takes (hence the 14 days in the original post). Perhaps I am misinterpreting the output from the http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/ which indicates my profile as 38M.

Your line should be able to go faster. and no, I don't think that you are misreading the BT speedtest. However, that speed checker has been a bit iffy recently (usually over-reading) so try one of the others just to double check what you are actually getting. I use Ookla at http://www.speedtest.net/

@finger6691 in the text below the speed estimates the DSL checker provides is there anything along the lines of "an open order on this line is due to complete on dd/mm/yy" ?

About 36-37M on Speedtest.net - I'm pretty close to the cabinet.  Speedtest.net has given consistent results over the year.

Thanks for those posts. I don't think that you have been upgraded to the faster service.

I think that your choices are to see if a Plusnet person picks up your posts (although I haven't seen anyone today) or to go back to phone/chat and ask (from what you have posted, ask again?) why you are not seeing the improved speed.

I did wonder if a further possibility might be to report a fault at https://www.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults
