Upgrade to Fibre Broadband only

I referred a mate of mine to Plusnet broadband some years ago and  still a customer.

In the meantime I have upgraded to Fibre Broadband, now he would like to upgrade as well,

but we do not see any option online  to upgrade to Fibre only, line rental and calls not required.

Can he upgrade to 38mb Fibre only and how much would it cost?.

You can only have broadband without phone if you are able to get FTTP which is in very few areas. The vast majority can only get FTTC which requires a line rental from Plusnet or someone else. The best bet if the phone will not be used is to move the line rental to someone like Pulse8 who are way cheaper than Plusnet (Pulse8 charge £13 per month).

I've just come to this forum with very much the same question, I was looking to upgrade to fibre using the product change facility but can't get past the phone line options. I'm with BT at the moment and don't want to change - seems like I'm stuck with standard adsl.

If you do it online you will pay over the odds. Ring up following the I'm leaving route because you can't get fibre without rental and see what they offer.

A slight misunderstanding, he has line rental and calls from BT, he just wanted Fibre Broadband only.

Also he is a Plusnet unlimited Broadband customer, just cannot get the option online to upgrade to fibre only!!!!

Same answer as before - unless he wants to pay over the odds, ring up and ask for a deal. No deals are offered when you upgrade online.
