I got confirmation of the order at 20:41:16 saying This will change over on 12th September 2017.
At 20:41:26 I got an e-mail saying that there was problem with the order and someone would get back to me.
At 01:27:23 on the 12th (today) I got an E-mail saying the order was complete.
I have restarted the router a couple of times today, but the connection is still rock solid at 39,950/1,999
I am on a long hold on the phone at the moment - could someone check what is going on?

@wisty It looks like our automated system failed to place the upgrade order with our suppliers. I've just placed it now which should complete tomorrow at any point up to midnight. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
