Upgrade from Sagemcon 2704n to hub

Having just recontracted for 18mths because of taking PN TV and because of the problems with some channels breaking up I am thinking of having my master phone socket moved so I can get rid of the PLA. At the moment I have the BT white box modem and the Sagecom 2704n router. How much would upgrading to the hub cost me? I would much prefer the streamed line look of just the router in it's new place.

With a bit of luck as you’ve recently recontracted Plusnet will give you one for the P&P charge. Whatever you do don’t buy one from Plusnet. Go onto EBay where you can get one for very little money. If you want a better looking and better performing router then get a BT Smarthub 6 from the same source.

Hi @Mayfly, I'm glad to hear that's all sorted for you and can confirm the router is on it's way out to you and should arrive within the next 3-5 working days (although usually only taking 2-3). If there's anything else you need moving forwards please do let us know.

I've been with PN on fibre since middle of 2015 and have just renewed my contract earlier this month. I was using an apple router which has just died so I'm now using the original 2704N. Connectivity has been patchy and speeds are erratic. I wonder if I might be able to upgrade?

I'd recommend speaking with our Customer Options team regarding this.

They can be contacted on 0800 013 2632 and are open the following hours

  •     Monday to Friday- 9 am while 8 pm
  •     Saturday - 9 am while 7 pm
  •     Sunday - 9 am while 6 pm
