Can't see the faceplate, but a Dect Phone, the spiders web of cables, and is that an alarm control panel? sitting so close to your router is only asking for trouble,
Without seeing your router stats, in particular the max attainable speeds, and if they change in the test socket, or which model you have, it is hard to say if a newer master socket would help

"One thing I have noticed though is that the estimated line length figures on the reports posted are not consistent. Not sure if that is just a gremlin."
I think its pretty close, I did a straight line on google maps, at 367.06 meters.
Estimated Line Length In Metres | 464.5 |

haha that's not cables, its my wicker heart ornament.
p.s the phone is discounted , as its no longer used with unlimited mobile calls now.
speed tests have been done with and without the phone attached.
and yes that just a panel for the alarm code, which is housed separately.

It is pointless doing speed tests, from what I have seen you are getting results close to your sync speed and profile.
It takes time for the profile to change, at the least overnight. Logging in to your router and showing the stats including max attainable will be far more informative.

@Mav Thank you.
@Pinkpanda Alas your Netgear router does not give much useful information, depending on how technical you are, or want to get, you could telnet into it and get the results of xdslctl ?
Otherwise you will need to leave the router in the test socket for a few days to see if the sync speeds improve.

Try http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug
Well that's what I use on my D7000.
