Unstable Fibre Connection

I have a Fibre to cabinet connection with an advertised speed of up to 65mbps which is normally good and stable.
However just lately it's gone haywire, becoming unstable with massively differing speeds up to 450mbps (btspeedtest)
This is causing problems with various websites and online gaming, as I often get notifications from these saying I'm disconnecting and have an unstable connection.
Not sure what's causing this as nothing has changed with any of my equipment .
Any help to get to the bottom of this gratefully received .
I've attached a file to show the speed issue.
 Thanks in advance.

Re: Unstable Fibre Connection

This isn't a speed issue as such, but a known fault with BTs speed test.maybe you could post your router stats

Re: Unstable Fibre Connection

Hi there. Sorry to hear you're having speed issues.

As Shep41 has indicated the speed test you've done looks to be a bit off and likely caused by the test itself not working as it should be. Our tests aren't showing any issues and your router is in sync at 66.9mbps.

Can you run a speed test here using a wired connection?

Re: Unstable Fibre Connection

Thanks for your reply Gandalf.....
It wasn't so much the wi-fi I was having issues with but the main desktop P.C which is hard wired into the router, does this change anything ?
Used the link you provided and did the hard wired test results are attached below.
 Let me know your thoughts.
Ash.

Thanks for coming back to us Ash.

Shouldn't do. If anything this should be better than using WiFi.

Can't see anything wrong with those speeds.

Are you able to replicate the problem using a different device?
