Unlimited Fibre faults/lag

I'm on the 40MB Unlimited Fibre package and have been getting nothing but trouble the last week or two.

This started happening before I changed to the Hub One, swapped out the TG582 for that hoping for better but it appears to be in PlusNet/BT's domain rather than being a local issue, changed to a TP-Link TL-WR940N which has sped up internal traffic but done nothing for the lag issues.

I waited to see if it was something that would just pass but it hasn't and is really frustrating now.

My speed tests run at 36Mbps Down and 1.6Mbps Up, on my wired connection (PS4) and wireless (PC, Android, et al), all with the same problems.

Can you describe the actual issues you've having a little more?

Is it any game, specific games? Lobby, or once you're in the same? Anything using the connection at the same time?

Hi Chris, of course.

It's any game, any online streaming application whether it be Rocket League, NHL16, Neflix, or WWE Network on PS4 or Rocket League, CS:GO, Netflix, WWE Network or NFL Network on PC.

With games it's usually in-game and online lobby, offline of course is okay.

With streaming services (Netflix et al), it's streaming and menus (loading times for menus). Even when throttling the streaming service speed to under 400Kbps it's laggy and requires buffering.

The only concurrent connections would be two Android phones at the same time running nothing in particular, average social use, no videos being played on them or anything. I disconnected everything else but the PS4 and PC (both which were on at different times) and still had the issues.

Can you provide a tracert to a couple of affected sites, such as netflix.com and maybe a gaming site? Testing your line isn't showing any issues at all.
