Unlimited Fibre Extra not performing to my given product speed....

Hi there,

Got Unlimited Fibre Extra from Plusnet

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre Extra
  • Estimated Download Range: 44 - 64Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 8 - 10Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 40Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 58.8Mbps

But only getting around 18Mbs download speeds which is nothing like above.

Anything I can do to get my broadband up to speed

Hi @Andy2020, sorry to hear you're having connection issues.

 

Checking from this side everything is looking spot on to the router and with no signs of errors. The speeds are syncing at 64.2Mbps download and 17.2Mbps upload. Are you connected on a wired or wireless connection?

Hi there,Thanks for your quick reply,

 

This is the speed just now 13.21Mbps on Monday plugged into my phone socket with my laptop and a wired cable.

 

The speed changes through out the day when you do a speed test it jumps up to say 50Mbps and then falls down to the lower speed during the test.

Hi,

 

Got a email today to go and teat speed at http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/ the link/site does not work.

 

So can not do a speedtest using the btwholesale site to post it back here.

 

Still only getting around 21mbps when it should be very much higher

Hi there,

Still the same slow speed at my house.

So fault is still on my line.

The BT website may say I am getting fantastic speeds down my line but it's not coming into my house.

It appears that BT cannot fix this fault and it is easier to say it's fixed and close the request than it is to repair it.

I'm the same, on ultimate fibre, been pants for the last few weeks. I am at the point where I will be looking for another supplier, its been that bad.

I tried a BT Wholesale speed test but it seems to be having problems again.
