Unlimited Fibre Extra dropping out

Does anyone know why the PlusNet broadband connection has been so flaky since just before Christmas when I upgraded to Unlimited Fibre Extra? This is in the Retford, Nottinghamshire area.

It is particularly poor in the mornings when it drops out on average 7 or 8 times usually when I’m in a video meeting.

I’m not sure this is the service I signed up to!

Have you confirmed that this is a network problem and not a wireless issue? Are you connected via Ethernet or wireless? What are the lights on your hub doing?

Well, nothing has altered at my end, I upgraded from unlinited fibre (which I have happily been on for 5/6 years) to unlimited fibre extra and the problems appear to have started since Plusnet altered things at their end.

The router is directly connected via ethernet. The power light is orange when I am disconnected.

The dropout can last from a minute to 4/5 minutes.

Changing the Master Socket appears to have solved the problem - fingers crossed.
