Unlimited Fibre Extra - How does installation work?

I've just moved to a rental property where i want to order Unlimited Fibre Extra.

The order details indicate that I will need a 'BT socket' and than 'an engineer will need access to your home to install one'

What does the installation comprise of? Will there be any major work (i.e cutting holes for new sockets etc) required?

As this is a rental property, there is a limit to what electrical work I am allowed to do.

Does the property have a phone line exclusive to it?

If it does then (probably) no work is required in the property. To connect FTTC work is done at the cabinet after which you simply plug in the modem/router supplied by your chosen ISP.
