Unlimited Extra Fibre, Not Getting Any Extra Speed!!

It's certainly possible that the firmware version you have may affect the wifi aspect of your connection, however, the issue we're seeing at present is with your physical connection to the exchange, which the firmware would have no influence over.
At this stage, I'd recommend testing your speed after the engineer visit and we can pick it up from there if you still find that you're experiencing issues.

hopefully BT can sort this issue out, really strange last night, speed was only 21.3Mbps @ 7.25pm ,then later it increased by 6Mbps!
And this morning 27.6Mbps

BRILLIANT BT ENGINEER
Checked my junction box outside front door, copper connections poor,
Inside Master socket again, poor copper connections, New Master Socket/Filter fitted a/c faulty
My speed test now jumped up from 27.1 mbps to 38.2Mbps, BIG Improvement!
Actual BT speed on Engineers box, was 42Mbps
So Job well done,
Now have a decent Fibre Extra Speed
Thank You to all concerned at PlusNet for attending to this matter.
Hope my speed continues to improve
