Unable to access router from MacBook Pro

Hi All,

Basically the above.

Since having MacBook Pro (had HP laptop before) cannot access router to make changes to access for kids on their devices.

I put in the router password but not having any of it.

Also, iPhone keeps dropping wifi connection, have to be sat in same room as router. Its using all my data and driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance

Re: Unable to access router from MacBook Pro

Welcome to the forum.

Many devices don't like the 2.4 and 5GHz wireless bands synchronised. Try separating them, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840.

Once separated try connecting to each in turn and use the best.
