Hi all,
I've recently joined PlusNet from BT Infinity and after replacing the BT Hub with the Thomson router, my Samsung TV and Blu-Ray player can no longer see my DLNA shared network drive.
Initially the Samsung devices could only see the Thomson router for DLNA but I have disabled the DLNA via the router web interface and they now see nothing. I can use apps on the TV such as YouTube and iPlayer so the network access is there, just not the DLNA connectivity.
I've tried speaking to PlusNet support who say I should use the BT Hub (would prefer not too) or ask in here as they cannot help.
How can I get this working without using a router from another ISP?
Thanks,
Mark

You don't need to use a router from another ISP, you just need one that can open PPPoE connections for connecting the BT fibre modem to the web (I use a D-Link DIR-615 instead of the Plusnet supplied router), there's a lot to choose from and I'm sure someone here will offer a suggestion of an off-the-shelf router you could use...

You could try the following, although I thought that issue was fixed many firmware versions ago.
http://npr.me.uk/telnet.html#dlna
If you're no comfortable with using telnet, backup the routers settings and use notepad to edit the following line in the [ igmpsnooping.ini ] section:
config brname=bridge state=enabled floodrp=disabled floodmcast=disabled queryto=140
change "state=enabled" to "state=disabled"
Save the changed file and use the routers "restore" to load it.
@ghos7em1
you've got a space missing in the above

Thank you for the command ghos7em1. When cross checking the command I came across npr's page, 2 minutes later and after restarting the router and TV all is back working again.
Now if only PN Support could have just given this command in the first place. It is not that difficult.
Thanks again!

Thanks for reporting back.
Strange that Plusnets firmware has reinstated this issue.
