So i was getting speeds of around 42 mbps, my pings in games was between 10-18 things were amazing. There was some maintenance near me there were a number of disconnections in a row and The BT engineer told me only after I noticed he was here and bothered him that this should be no issue as the ISP's had been notified for the changes and when he was finished the disconnections would stop and my speed would return to normal.
So 5 days in my speed has dropped from 42mb~ to 33mb (a full 9mb drop or about 25%) which is within estimates but this is deemed a Non issue by Plusnet as a fault was raised and also apparently BT do not deem it an issue however Me paying 75% of my bill would be an issue.
I called the hot line as suggested by the fault update to discuss my issue and I had frail hopes of previous experience where we would back and forth over the issue and discuss what could be done to get my line profile back to where it should be... However the gentleman I spoke to was rather abrupt and unhelpful which is not something I am used to with Plusnet support.
It appears the service I have come to expect having had this happen multiple times in the time I have been with plusnet, was setting the wrong precedent and I should never have had any engineer visits for this and I certainly should never have had my line profile reset, the Gentleman said after being questioned that there was nothing that could be done and that quickly ended my conversation.
So here I am clutching at straws, I cannot leave plusnet as no other company offer Fibre without line rental and short of feeling screwed I am unsure where to turn before I head down the Mac code route.

Hi there,
I fully understand your disappointment here especially if you were experiencing 42mb download speeds.
However I can see your estimate is 35mb which is the only reason why we can't look into this as a fault.
I'm going to take a listen to the call you've mentioned and will pass on any feedback if needed.

This is very much appreciated adam. I just don't understand why the speed dropped in the first place.
Spoken with my Next door neighbors and they are getting a nice solid 63/8 not sure why their connection is better than mine I can reach out of my window and grab their cable XD
Should mention they are with BT.

So is the solution wait a couple of weeks and see if it gets better? I literally have no other options which is making this frustrating.
While we are here As for latency issues I am having some nice spikes tonight Jumping from my normal 20~ ping to 100 and over 1000 then complete disconnection being unable to ping the servers for starcraft 2

account transfer speed has updated from 33mb to 78
Estimated line speed:
There's no speed estimate currently held on your account.
Current line speed:
78 Mb
disconnected and reconnected no change in speed. still slow.

Going well today Cannot get a ping lower than 450 on Starcraft contacted blizzard they have had a large number of reports from mainly BT customers recently for similar issues nothing Blizzard can do told to contact my ISP reluctant to do so after last nights performance, Cannot stream my games with any stability which is even more annoying, I think it might be time to leave plusnet Bite the bullet and buy a phone line I dont need.
