Is there any clue as to what is causing the issues? Is it a server or other piece of network hardware?

Seems to affect one of our points of presence over any other. Unfortunately you're somewhat bound to which you hit based on geographical location. It won't be a server, more a network interface/switch/router somewhere.

Thanks for the response, that you've got an idea of what's causing the issue is a bit more reassuring that this can be fixed, especially when coupled with the maintenance last week that seemed to resolve (albeit temporarily) the issues.
