Termination of Broadband ( Possible Scam )

Hi a couple of minitues ago I got a automated phone call which said was from BT about my broadband being terminated it then started giving out a list of options I then just hung up the phone.

I assumed this was a scam of some kind but could someone on the plusnet staff just double check that something isn't going on and i'm actually not being diconnected I would assume BT wouldn't call like this especially when my brandband isn't with them thanks.

A good place to check for the current scams and phone numbers used is https://who-called.co.uk

Sadly some folk get caught by these people.

Re: Termination of Broadband ( Possible Scam )

I have been getting calls from BT technical support for quite a while. Sometimes 3 a day. The latest this morning was and a recorded message saying that  my broadband would be cut off by the end of the day. The phone number came up as 0173322768.. I have been treating it as a scam  but it gets worrying if you think you might be cut off.
