Fingers x shylok, I'll open all of the packaging very carefully & keep it safe just in case.

Well it connected OK. However, disappointingly the range & speeds were not as good as with my trusty Asus RT-AC56U so it is now on it's way back to Amazon.

what are you using as a wifi adapter / pci card?
I have an Asus RT-N66U with a Linksys AE3000 usb adapter (dual band) which gives me 450mbps on 5GHz (using 40MHz bandwidth) & on 2.4GHz around 250mbps (using 20MHz bandwidth), i could use 40MHz bandwidth on 2.4GHz & get 450mbps but some of my devices wont be able to connect as not compatible. I used the same wifi settings on the TP-Link as the Asus & i didnt notice any difference but make sure you set the transmit power settings to high as that did throw me at first.
But to get the best out of an AC1900 router you would need to upgrade to a pci wifi card, they usually perform better with one that is the same brand, which is another £50 on top http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-Archer-T9E-Wireless-Beamforming/dp/B00TZJYRF6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid...
