TP Link AC 1900 Touch P5 Router

Hi
I am looking at purchasing the TP Link AC 1900 Touch P5 Modem but being a bit (or a lot) of a newbie am not sure if this can replace my existing modem and router or if I still
need the modem to plug into it.
I wish to have an all in one modem/router to increase my poor signal so would be grateful if anyone has any info on this or can suggest an equal or better unit.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
I run the slightly cheaper TP-Link W9980 and it does the job if you find the right place to sit it - http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-TD-W9980-Wireless-Gigabit-300Mbps/dp/B00NEQZ12Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&q...

The 'Touch P5' does not have a modem but can be used on FTTC with the existing BT supplied modem.

Why not buy the excellent TP-LINK Archer VR 900 AC? It does everything you want at £125.12 & comes highly recommended by 1 of the senior PN staff members!! Smiley

28 and mostly for the N600.
It's annoying how Amazon lump reviews together for a multi option sale entry.

If you scroll to the end of he Amazon reviews then
a) click to see all the review
b) scroll back to the top and hit the All Formats button ... then you can select review only for you model you selected ...  Wink

Many thanks to all that have replied and for all your help.
Have decided against the Touch P5 because it needs a separate modem and have decided to go for the Archer VR900.

Re: TP Link AC 1900 Touch P5 Router

Has anyone looked at the VR200 http://www.tplink.com/be/products/details/?model=Archer+VR200#spec £76 as opposed to £126 and from what I can see the only difference is AC750 Wifi rather than AC1900...

I am favouring the 1900 because of the increased Wifi speed.  Smiley

Re: TP Link AC 1900 Touch P5 Router

but unless you're using wifi for access between machines on your local network, are you really going to notice any difference when your internet connection is only 80Mb max ?
