TG582n assigning multiple devices with the same IP address

I'm using Plusnet's TG582n router and it has this annoying habit of assigning wireless devices the same IP address.
Whenever my sister visits she connects her phone to my wifi and invariably this stops my second computer connecting because it's assigned the same IP.
I'm using default settings, I haven't modified anything.
Is there a way of preventing this or at least manually overriding it in some way?

Re: TG582n assigning multiple devices with the same IP address

That IP address is unusually high to be assigned by the routers DHCP server.
Have you check whether both devices are configured to a static IP address within the devices own settings.

They're usually in the 60 range, I don't know it's over 200 today but it is.
As far as I can tell the devices aren't set to any particular address.

Re: TG582n assigning multiple devices with the same IP address

The first item on the list with the .216 is your WiFi range extender.
So, whatever the other device is thats the one that needs to be brought under control.
It might need to be told to "forget" the network and reconnect.
If its anything like my phone it seems to want to use the same IP all the time, and if a newer device, in your case the Range Extender, is using it it messes up.  Crazy
Hope thats a bit of a help.
