Hi Plusnet!,
Recently my router has only been syncing at about 64mb resulting in a broadband speed of about 59mb. It had previously been synced at around 75-77mb (resulting in a broadband speed of about 71 - 74mb) for the last 18 months or so and has been perfectly stable and consistent.
Oddly I noticed it was also synced at 80mb before this decline to how it is now a few weeks ago. I have been manually rebooting my router relatively frequently over the last couple of weeks to see if it will sync higher which has probably not helped the situation!
Can you see if there are any faults / IP profile stuff you can do please?
Thanks

Hi there,
Line tests have picked up on a line fault (a high resistance fault)
I've reported this for you, here' s link for further updates on your account https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=176652086

Hi Guys,
I believe the fault on my line has now been cleared but I'm fairly sure I've been "banded" as the sync speed has been exactly 67000 for the last few days.
Is there anything you can do about this to get me back up to full speed?
Thanks

Hello @law
Thanks for getting back to us. We can see that it is syncing at 67Mbps, but its not showing as banded as you can see from the test results below.
Can you monitor the connection for a few days and let us know how you get on.

I've restarted a couple of times this week and it's still syncing at exactly 67000. It must be being limited or told to sync at that speed by something as it wouldn't normally be such a round number. Is this an "IP profile" thing you can reset please? When the engineer came his device was syncing at 76-78mb.
Thanks!

Hi @law thanks for getting back in touch.
I've tested your line today and it's still syncing at 67mbps, however the test isn't showing any banding on the line and it isn't picking up any underlying faults. As 67mbps is within the estimates for your line, there isn't anything that we can do to increase the speed I'm afraid.
