Switching from BT Infinity Fibre to Plusnet Fibre

Hello
I'm switching from BT's Infinity 2 fibre service to Plusnet's Fibre Extra. Can anyone tell me whether I will need an engineer to visit the premises, or will it just be exchange work that's needed as I'm moving from one fibre product to another?
Thanks
Paul

As far as I know it just requires a simple change at the exchange.
Doesn't mean they won't make a pigs ear of it and cut you off for a month...

I'm in the process of doing the same.  BT have raised their prices again, so after 23 years as a customer I've decided to leave.
No engineer visit is needed as they assume you already have a BT OpenReach modem installed.
If like me you are using a BT HomeHub 5, then you won't have a separate modem.
There is a sticky post by NorthEasterner at the top of this board that explains how to configure your BT HomeHub for use with PlusNet.

Hi Paul,
The engineer appointment will be deferred, Twamly pretty much has it spot on. Let me know if you need anything.
