Swapped to new router speed has dropped

Hi been running a billion router which has been great but decided to use the new dual band plusnet supplied router.

Connected everthing and its sycned at 58mb but my bt speeds test is only 6.86mb and the current line speed on plusnet website shows 21mb. Why would changing a router cause the decrease by so much, to be honest its totally useless cant steam without stutter and stops. Any help would be fantastic , trying to contact tech but seems busy at moment.

Was the speed test run over a wired or wireless connection ?

The Current speed setting may be misleading/irrelevant if you are on Plusnet's 'New' network.

What is returned when you use the gateway checker tool?

Thanks for reply , tech support have fixed the problem over the phone. I had followed the instuctions and everthing working apart from slow speeds. The process should be automatically done but sometimes it doesn't.

The user name and password hadn't automatically gone in mine just showed setup@plusnet although i still connected. Put in my user name and password in the advanced settings and all is back to full speed.
