After several weeks of a very steady 40Mbps Down and 10Mbps Up (at the PC), which I test each morning (paranoia?), I saw the Up gain about 2.5Mbps this morning. Down seems to have gained 1Mbps at the PC, both are less than the indicated connected speed. We had a power cut in the night, in the small hours around 03:00 -04:00 which Power Networks say lasted for a few minutes only, could that have changed things? caused a reset? The distribution layout means that my cabinet (and the part of the village its in) can be live, when my street has no power, but I suspect last nights power cut was general. In the last 3 weeks we have had a number of power cuts locally, including one lasting nearly 10 hours. Speeds remained constant after all of them, so it could well be coincidence and DLM may have adjusted something? I bet we have more have more power cuts as repairs are made, the system is aging and ropey, cost kept down in favour of profit perhaps? Just my luck if they cut the power and my speed drops back again!!
