I am puzzled by this one, recently I had been experiencing a good stable connection until it dropped over the last day.....my sync speeds dropped from 79999Kbps to 69999Kbps. I only noticed that as speeds seem off a litte. Anyway a reboot put the sync rate back to 79999 again and all is well or so I thought.

Is the speeds I am getting, generally most people wouldn't see it as too shabby, I agree were it not for the fact I was achieving speeds with an extra 10Mb on top. I have ran tests on several sites and it all come back more or less the same. Interestingly my single channel download download speed has never been that high, usually rounded out at 42Mb.
What I want to know is whether there is congestion in my area or am I doing something wrong?
I have ran a check with BT wholesale also and it comes back more or the less the same.....
Any help

Hi jmc
What speed does the Plusnet data speed show at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
It will ask for your Plusnet username and password.
When you post the details, please ensure that you do not show your phone number or any other persona data from that screen.
It should show a speed close to your BT Profile.

Might be worthwhile going through the Fault Guide https://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,132989.0.html
It is infuriating when the speed just vanishes for no known reason. At least I know when my loss of speed occurs, it is down to the gateway Plusnet selected for me which is easy to resolve.
