Stats

Just curious........do these stats look good after 2 days after reconnection?

6.76 Mbps / 27.40 Mbps

6322 / 31219

4.8 dB / 3.8 dB

44.1 dB

26.3 dB / 44.1 dB

Also just to confirm, is 4.8mb up speed?

Many thanks,

John

Re: Stats

@fred77

Whether it's good depends on what your line will support. What do you get if you put your phone number in here?  https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL.

Your up speed is 6.76 Mbps.  4.8dB is the upstream Signal to Noise ratio.

Re: Stats

Just noticed as I posted the figures that it mentions FTTP as well as the other stuff! I do not have FTTP but we have been told that it will be coming soonish. Why are the figures up and down for FTTP shown on those stats?

Thanks again,

John

Re: Stats

@fred77

The FTTP that you see is FTTP on demand. This is a very expensive service with installation cost running into the thousands of pounds and very high additional charges. It is aimed mainly at business users.

Re: Stats

@fred77

No. This is the range of download and upload speeds that your line will support. That is between 25 and 39.8 down, 5.7 and 7.7 up.

39.8 25 7.7 5.7

Your measured speed falls within these limits, be they at the lower end, so as far as Plusnet will be concerned your connection is working as expected.
