Hi, just gone over to Fibre Extra and currently have my TP-LINK Archer C9 router set as PPPoE. I still have however a Static IP and am a tad unsure as to what Info I need to input.
It's asking for the following, but in my Plusnet account I can only see the IP address and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
Any advice would be appreciated.
IP Address:
Subnet Mask:
Default Gateway:
MTU Size (in bytes): (The default is 1500, do not change unless necessary.)
Primary DNS:
Secondary DNS:

I vaguely remember telling my router to get an IP etc via DHCP even though a static IP has been assigned.

Thanks for the quick response.
So what your saying is even if I leave it on PPPoE on the router it will in fact be 'static'?

If a static ip you put into your router was used on the WAN side, that would leave things open to huge amounts of accidental and deliberate confusion.
