Over the weekend I requested a static IP that is now in use. However my download speed has now dropped.I have seen other forum posts where a static IP has caused an incorrect profile to be applied.
Can my profile be corrected please.
Not withstanding that I have an ongoing broadband issue with intemittent dropped connections my router is reporting that my current connection is significantly faster than the download speeds achieved.
I have run the speedtest and the additional diagnostics. The test is from a wired ethernet connection with no other traffic.
My router reports:
Max: Upstream rate = 5261 Kbps, Downstream rate = 30720 Kbps Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 3200 Kbps, Downstream rate = 24997 Kbps
My PN account reports:
- Product: Unlimited Fibre
- Estimated Download Range: 24 - 37Mbps
- Estimated Upload Range: 4Mbps
- Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 20.3Mbps
- Current Line Speed (Download): 15Mbps
The performance test reports:
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi @steve88, I'm sorry to hear about this. Together with our network partners at Openreach we will try to provide you with the best speeds possible. If you feel this is not the case, please raise your speed fault online at http://faults.plus.net.

@Buttercup. Is it really necessary for @steve88. to raise a fault in this case. Its pretty obvious that the Plusnet profile is stuck and just needs resetting. Its probably been like that for a while but wouldn't have had any effect until the change to a static ip

Not yet it hasn't; and I thought it might be a simple fix
Speedtest still tops out at ~14Mbps.
Broadband details show:
Your broadband service
- Product: Unlimited Fibre

Hi@steve88
Sorry to hear about this ongoing issue. I have just updated IP profile on your line to match current sync speed, can you please restart your router and check if you will notice any improvement.
There is still open fault ticket on your account which is being dealt with by our faults department.
Based on last comment you are still in touch with engineer who was working on your line as most recent test failed, if you need to arrange next engineer visit - please answer on this ticket here

Restarted the router and now the speedtest results match the sync speed. Thank you.
My other fault is still under investigation by BT OR engineer(s) who I am in contact with and they are still actively doing/changing things to track it down.
