Speeds dropped after power cut, increase line profile please?

Hi Plusnet

I am normally on quite a high line profile being not to far from the exchange but we had a power cut today and my profile drop down to 63.87. It's normally 70+, is this something you could look at increasing for me? I didn't want to keep rebooting the modem incase it saw it as a potential fault and reduced the profile even more.

Appreciate your help

Kind Regards

Rufus

Re: Speeds dropped after power cut, increase line profile please?

Hi Oskar

Thanks very much for the prompt response I really appreciate it. Will I need to reboot either the BT modem or my router for the change to take effect or will it automatically re-sync?

Thanks again

Hi @iamrufus, thanks for getting back to me.

Sorry - I did mean to say that a quick reboot would be required.

Let me know how you get on.

No problem, thanks for the info. Should i reboot just the router or will the bt modem need a reboot as well?

Thanks

Hi @iamrufus, thanks for your response.

It's mainly to kill the ongoing session so that the new settings can take effect and so we'd recommend just rebooting the router.
