Speed throllted after fault

Hi all

i had an engineer as my speed had dropped below the minimum service level

bt swapped me to a new cable pair and my sync has gone from 42 to 55 Smiley

my download is stuck at 40, i had this problem before when i had a line fault

do i need to contact plusnet again or will it sort itself out, im on the unlimited fibre extra package so should work at full speed

Fix

Hi Chris,

I've given things a kick this side as it looks like the profile on your account is (and now, was) stuck at the old sync rate. If you can reboot your router you should see a higher speed. Let us know how it goes. Smiley

Hi Gandalf,

thanks for the quick reply and help, but its still the same

the sync speed has raised slightly to 56358, but download speed, and speed test is still 38-39 mbits

No problem Chris, it doesn't look like your connection has dropped though.

If you've tried rebooting your router can you try switching it off for around 10 mins?

Thanks Gandalf, that's sorted it.... now speed test at 52mbps
