When I use this tester it says it is choosing the best server, this is always London, surprises me as I'm up here in the cold north.
Why do you think it is London and not nearer to me?

It pings groups of servers and normally selects the one that responds the quickest.

So it is like our rail transport links better southward than North, East and West but in this case telephone lines.

Some servers more locally may be under more load and have less bandwidth available - you can stream a steady 72Mb/s from Australia so distance doesn't make a huge amount of difference.

The Plusnet gateways are located in London so your connection goes via London regardless of your location so the nearest servers outside the Plusnet network will always be around the London area.

Now I understand.
Nothing do with my location or Plusnets Sheffield and Leeds locations, thanks for response.
Going Off Topic now, will there be a hidden bonus in that when people spy on me like Google and other web sites they will think we all live in London?
