Speed taken a massive dive.

Hi

Normally get around 50 Mbps down and 9 Mbps up.

Very slow yesterday and have just checked speed using speedtest net with results 0.32 Mbps down and 0.94 Mbps up.

Will someone please check my line and let me know what is happening!

I've just taken a look into this and line tests aren't actually showing any issues. 

 

Assuming that your devices connect over WiFi it would be worth taking a look at the checks here next: https://goo.gl/BBd2Tu

Thanks for looking into this for me.

Using direct network connection to my PC so not using wifi.

I have not changed anything at this end so hope it is just down to the weather and will go back to normal soon.

What speed is my line showing?

OK, 

 

The tests shows a downstream line rate of approximately 53mbps. 

 

If checks done at www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/ are highlighting issues then I'd follow the checks here: https://goo.gl/tu2WWu before reporting a fault over at http://faults.plus.net

Hi

BTWholesale test results show:

Down 2.08 Mbps   Up 0.72 Mbps   Ping 26.25.

BT additional test shows:

Down profile 49.93 Mbps    Achieved 2.08 Mbps   Up   profile 10 Mbps  Achieved  0.72 Mbps.

My profile should be Down 52 Mbps and Up 10 Mbps.

Will you please report this so it can be checked out and fixed.

Hi Adam

Received text yesterday saying connection is currently down due to possible issue at the fibre cabinet.

Tried this morning and up and running fine so appears to have been fixed although I have not had any confirmation.

Thank you very much for your prompt help in reporting this and getting this issue fixed.

 

 EDIT Now received confirmation of fix via email saying:

The issue was isolated to a problematic line card and I am happy to report that your connection has been restored, a quick test from here confirms a stable connection with no errors observed or detected.
