Re: Speed dropped to 3mbit

I have generated a problem ticket with the below link.

I have turned everything off and back on again. It fails to connect and eventually connects at 5mbit/0mbit upload.

I just downloaded 800gb in data this month and have not made any changes since its been working full speed again. Could that be it? is there a limit on download per month?

My internet was not working well the past 3 months because I was forced to use a cheap router, now I have purchased a good router I am once again getting full speed 80/20. Due to this I had a back log of downloads, I don't usually download 800gb in two weeks.

Thanks. I can see we've automatically raised the fault with our suppliers and they've passed it through to Openreach as a non-appointed task where an engineer should pick up the job within the next 2 working days to investigate further.

I've also noticed that we've been advised that "This task is part of a Batch that contains 2 or more tasks" so it looks like there are other lines in the area affected too.

There's no download limit per month as you're on an Unlimited usage package.

Essentially you can download as much as you want, I think my line peaked at 2TB in a month once...

We'll need to wait and see what the outcome of the engineering investigation brings.

Please feel free to drop us a reply over here if you don't hear back from us within the next day or so and we'll be happy to check for an update/chase it up accordingly where appropriate.

Re: Speed dropped to 3mbit

OK thanks!

I don't know if there being more people affected in the area is a good or bad thing, at least it might make them come out a bit quicker.

Re: Speed dropped to 3mbit

No problems @Gregg.

I think it's a good thing that they're aware of a potential problem.

Common faults are usually fixed quicker depending on what's causing the problem.
