Just noticed today that my 40/2 connection has severely dropped in download speed. It had been running at full speed until now.

As an aid to finding a solution to the problem, whet does the speed profile from Plusnet at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed say? No ned to post anything other than the speed shown there.
Sometimes the Plusnet profile speed is reset to the ADSL speeds and hence a slow down occurs. You will need you Plusnet username and password to get that information.
Also is it back at full speed today as it maybe congestion at your exchange if it is only occurring in the 6pm to 10pm peak usage window.

Hopefully a Plusnet staff member will post here soon and look at your exchange to see if there are issues there for you.
If not, raise a fault when the BTW speed tests shows it is slow. When you have a slow speed test, do not do any more as Plusnet can only see the result of the last BTW test.
