Speed drop following an outage in London

There was an outage in London recently, I lost internet for a day, I called Plusnet who confirmed there had been a problem and advised me to re-boot the modem & router which I did, my internet came back up but it was slower, I've linked to some speedtests for comparison.
These are my speedtest results on Plusnet Fibre from when I joined on day one ... consistently great up until recently

I'm using a standard Technicolor router and Openreach modem,  any advice appreciated.

Re: Speed drop following an outage in London

It may be that the line has permanently slowed, or it may be that the issues were temporary but DLM has slowed you down for now.
In the first case you probably can't do much as your line still has pretty good speed.
If the second, DLM will eventually (up to three weeks) go back to faster speed.  Do not touch the modem, DLM will reset the modem->cabinet connection when it feels like it. Reboot or disconnect/reconnect the router each morning until things improve, as sometimes DLM fixes the low level connection but the higher level connection from the router is not reset and you get a 'stale' profile with unnecessarily lowered speeds.

Re: Speed drop following an outage in London

Good morning,
@ k2150
I have ran a couple of tests.
Because of the outage there has been a miss match of profiles on BT's systems'.
I have reported this as a fault and normally these issues are resolved within 48hrs
