Two days ago I started experiencing issues with my fibre dropping out and speeds falling significantly. I logged the issue with Plusnet and the engineer arrived very quickly. The Openreach chap did some tests and acknowledged I had an issue on the line, he ended up having to come back this morning to finish the job off. He hasn't been back to the house so I'm not sure where we are with the problem however, I'm now getting some very strange results from speed tests. Ookla shows me at about 60mbps (download) with a ping of 35ms. BT wholesale is showing my download as 311 mbps (!!!!) with a max achievable of 69 mbps, again, the max achievable is normally 80mbps.
Is it possible to help with the below questions -
Can you confirm the status of the job ?
Why would my ping have increased so significantly ?
Why is my 'max achievable' speed now so low ?
Why has my speed now so low compared to normal (based on Ookla which seems realistic) ?
