Speed below minimum

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre Extra
  • Estimated Download Range: 49 - 69Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 13 - 18Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 44.4Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 39.2Mbps

As you can see, the speed is below the minimum I should be getting. I'm into my 4th week with Plusnet and all throughout the first 10 days I was getting around 46-48Mbps download and 15-16Mbps upload. All tests connected by ethernet. Now it's this:

BT Wholesale test

Download Speed (Mbps): 36.49
Upload Speed (Mbps) : 11.46
Ping Latency (ms): 30

Speedtest.net

 DOWNLOAD Mbps 38.20
 UPLOAD Mbps 12.49

This below is from the BTW Performance Test. As I mentioned in the previous post, I was getting around 46-48Mbps download when I first joined.

1. Downstream Test:  -provides background information.

  Download Speed
  37.04 Mbps
   
0 Mbps 40.02 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

 

 Download speedachieved during the test was - 37.04 Mbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-40.02 Mbps .
 Additional Information:

2. Upstream Test:  -provides background information.

  Upload Speed
  9.78 Mbps
   
0 Mbps 20 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

 

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 9.78Mbps
 Additional Information:
 Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps



This test was not conclusive and further testing is required.This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.

Apologies for the late response times from ourselves recently and also sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing.

 

It seems like this could be a Throughput based issue from the hardware or maybe a profile speed error from the DLM within the local exchange.
