Speed Test Inconsistancies

As Im really new to fibre, Ive been doing speed tests for the last few days and came up with some inconsistencies...

Ookla reports speeds of 3100kb p/s and BT Wholesale reports less than ADSL speeds, I would upload the BTW report but its now wanting me to change my router settings to check for a TAP3 whatever that is and Im not gonna do that.

Could someone take a look at this for me please.

Thanks

Re: Speed Test Inconsistancies

I actually managed to get a test screen shot today, as you can see its still below ADSL speed even though the line profile looks correct.

Is there anything from PN's end that can be done about this?

Cheers

Re: Speed Test Inconsistancies

Test Outcome Pass
Test Outcome Code GTC_FTTC_SERVICE_0001
Description GEA service test completed and no fault found but unable to check for customer equipment connected to modem.
Main Fault Location OK
Sync Status In Sync
Downstream Speed 32.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed 2.0 Mbps
Profile Name 0.128M-40M Downstream, Error Protection Off - 0.128M-2M Upstream, Error Protection Off

Testing your line isn't showing anything hugely wrong, but the speedtest results are much lower than I'd expect them to be.

I'd advise getting this reported to us as a fault at https://faults.plus.net
