So my line has been consistent and synced at almost 29mb for a while... no problems. I had to shut off the power today, once done and router rebooted its now syncing at 24mb, Restarted router to see if that changed something but again at 24m.
Any reason for this? My line is capable of about 31mb synced, as i have had that before but i was happy with 29mb as my line has been spot on. So what can i do to resolve this drop?
cheers

Sorry that your speeds are dropping.
It looks like your line is now in sync at 23.9, which is below the bottom end of the estimate. It is slightly about the Minimum Guaranteed Access Line speed.
Can you check for noise on the phone line (hissing, crackling etc) and ensure the router is in the master socket with no extension leads in place.

No Noise on the phone, and yep its plugged into master socket. Just very strange as it been perfect and stable syncing at about 29mb for months.

Should i be raising a ticket? or is it something that can be sorted from here? should i restart my router again or will that make it worse?

Apologies for the delayed response
From testing your line, it looks like your router in sync at 25mbps which unfortunately is right on your estimates of between 25mbps and 32mbps. Can you try plugging your router into test socket to see if that helps?

If you follow the link provided by rongtw you'll be able to raise a fault to us, however it's unlikely we'll be able to progress a fault with BT when your speed is within estimates.

I get this response, but what annoyes me about this is i have seen my line synced at 31mb before, its then also been constant and consistant at 29mb synced for ages... i get a drop due to turning the power off and it reboots and syncs at the 25mb.
So for me its frusrating because i KNOW my line is capable of more as ive had more the whole time, the bt engineer who came here and rewired everything with brand new stuff said the same thing that i should easily get 28mb-29mb sync speed minimum.
My neighbour literally 3 doors down gets 37mb as ive mentioned but hes with BT themselves.
What is the reason for it dropping? makes no sense to me if its capable of more. I have tried all the socket stuff, all my equipment, wiring etc is new. Heres a bt test!

It's possible your neighbour is connected to a different copper pair, or the line takes a different route to the cabinet.
Whilst we appreciate the frustration caused, whilst the line speed/sync rate remains within the estimates, we won't be able to progress a fault I'm afraid.
Hopefully things pick up by themselves. However, if you notice the sync rate drop below the estimates shown at www.dslchecker.bt.com I'd recommend reporting the fault to us so we can raise this with BT.

But then why was my line consistent at 29mb for so long? Something has happened for it to drop right? Why would that be? help me understand because it really is frustrating when i know its capable of more.

It's possibly due to cross talk, which is basically other connections being added to the cabinet.
Or, somethings happened somewhere that's brought the speed down.
Unfortunately, as it's within estimates it's unlikely our suppliers will investigate.
