Repy yesterday :
Hi there.
Sorry for any confusion caused by the e-mail and thanks for letting us know. It looks like this is similar to one here.
I've placed an order to provision your fibre product on 55/10 from the 80/20 service it's on now. This will match you up with your account package while keeping the bonus speeds of 55mbps.
I've also e-mailed the project owner to request that you're taken out of the automated migration work so we won't be downgrading you to 40/10.
Hope this helps.
Speed Today
Upload Speed (Mbps) : 8.16
Ping Latency (ms): 28

How many threads do you need on the same subject?
You are not comparing like for like - the DSL checker shows the sync speeds you line should get.
The BTW speed test is just that, and is affected by what else is going on in your internal network and your device you are using to measure.
If you log into the router and have a look at the Helpdesk page and see what your sync and max attainable speeds are that would be more informative. Comparing the results before the change would be even more helpful.

Your sync rate is only 51 Mbps so to achieve 48 is not bad. Was it previously faster? Your SNR is 5.4dB. If you leave it switched on and there is no excessive drops then this could drop to nearer 3dB, which will increase your sync speed.

Sorry to see your speeds have dropped.
I can confirm you're definitely provisioned on 55/10 now. it's possible that the speed drop was due to settings on the line being reset by the dynamic line management(DLM) software upon order completion from 80/20 to 55/10.
With time I'd expect your speeds to return but I'm afraid I can't advise on a timeframe or guarantee this as you're above your estimated speeds of between 40mbps to 57.9mbps so we'd struggle to get our suppliers to accept this as a fault.

Thank You
i assumed the speed would stay the same ,
but I will keep a eye on the speed over the next few days & weeks and see what happens.
I live near the Telephone exchange and was on exchange lines only then fibre came along
and they installed a new cabinet outside the exchange, but the wires to my home go the long way round
as i am only 200 meters from the exchange by line on site.
I did try the fibre Extra at first but the speed never went above 55mphs.
Thank You Again
David

When Openreach do these sort of changes they automatically reset the DLM to 6dB. It leads to numerous complaints
