Smart TV connects to router but not internet

There is a fair bit of info regarding this problem about on the internet and i think I've read most of it, so far no solution
I have a samsung smart tv that has been connected by LAN to my internet and worked fine for over 2 years... Just yesterday some of the apps on it stopped working, iplayer for one, weird though that other apps such as it itvplayer do work...
Every other device that connects to my network does so with no problem so I'm sure it has something to do with the TV but all of the 'solutions' i have found to fix the problem, such as setting the TV DNS to 8888 don't work for me
Is there anything that you can do to help?

We've had the same problem on a Samsung ue46d7000 smart tv. It connects to the network but with no internet access. It just cam on yesterday afternoon. All of the usual sorts of fixes don't work. Nothing on our network or router changed knowingly yesterday. Seems like its happened to a few people.
