My router (wired to modem) automatically tests the speed of my connection every day.
It was doing ok until 28 December. Every day I was getting 65Mb down and 15Mb up.
Exactly since 28 Dec, I am getting 54Mb down and 1Mb up. I just tested this again now and upload is actually at 0.8Mb. See attached.
I can live with 55Mb down, but 1Mb is not up to the standard of what I'm paying for - Unlimited Fibre Extra. Why is my speed throttled since last week?
I checked https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed, it says "Estimated line speed:61Mb (This may vary between 44Mb and 61Mb) - Checked on 2017-06-30 20:12:20Current line speed:56.2 Mb" - which is correct - but there is no test of the upload speed.

Your line looks to be in sync at 10mbps up so no problems there. A remote test does indicate their may be a copper impairment fault on the circuit though. If your issues persist, I'd recommend opening a fault ticket.

Yes, the upload speed increased again on Jan 3 for some reason. Now it's at 53 down / 10 up. Still not where it was in December though (65 down, 15 up).
What is a "copper impairment fault" and what does fixing it entail?
