Hi there
I've recently bought a new PC and I'm having problems getting any decent speeds on it. I used to get between 60-70Mbps but now I'm struggling to even get 10Mbps. I've tried my wifi connection via my phone and got my usual speeds.
I've reset the router but no joy, even with my wired connection, I'm still getting slow speeds.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Thanks
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi @JayGeeEye
What speed is new PC's wired LAN connecting at?
10 Mbps I would guess.
This could be due to a software driver issue, a faulty network card, a faulty Ethernet cable a poor connection between the LAN card an the ethernet cable.
Have you tried a different ethernet lead?
Are any of the Ethernet pins in the PC's socket bent or pushed up so the would not press on the male connector when inserted?
Regards
Richard

Hi Richard
Looks like I've got it sorted, I was (eventually) able to download the latest drivers for the motherboard (wifi and ethernet are integrated on it) installed them and the wifi is back up to 60-70Mbps, the Ethernet still struggles but I'll try a new lead with that!
Thanks again for replying, much appreciated!
Thanks
John
