Slow line speed

I test the bandwidth of my broadband connection on a fairly regular basis and over the past 18 months, the downstream has dropped from 38 to 32 and upstream from about 9.5 to 7.5.  This speed was verified using a number of speed reputable test sites.  During this time, I believe my contract was changed by Plusnet from the 40Mbps to 50Mbps.

Testing the line with OpenReach checker suggests that I should be getting up to 35Mbps but as I am only 200metres from the cabinet  and my broadband stats appear to support that, I believe my line should be capable of reaching almost to 80Mbps and I would like to move up to that plan.  However, there is little point if Plusnet can't fully deliver my current plan.

What are my options?

Our tests are showing your speeds are a bit lower then what we'd expect but it's not showing any obvious cause.

I'd recommend raising a fault here
