Slow download speeds after upgrade from ADSL

My internet got upgraded from ADSL to FTTC today and my router has synced at a nice 44mb download and 9mb upload but whenever I do a speed test on any device the download speed is still only at around 8mb that was my ADSL speed can I have some help please as I would like this to be resolved.

Can you try a single disconnect/reconnect and hopefully that'll sort it for you.
