Hi,
My upload speed has been gradually dropping - it used to be in the 7-8Mbs range, but has now dropped to 6Mbs range this is below the estimated up load speed for my line.

The download speed is locked to 43999 and I have a static IP on the line. (I can't upgrade the package as that option is not offered).
Is there a problem with the line or a fault that could be worth reporting? I am unsure as to the limits where a drop in the upload line speed would be considered a fault.
Thanks

Hi @Matt14 thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to see that your speeds have been decreasing lately. I've run a few tests on the line this afternoon which have uncovered an external loop fault. I've now raised this with Openreach, and the good news is that no internal visit will be required.
Time will tell if this has an impact on your Broadband speeds though. We do often encounter and issue whereby customer with static IP's often have a banded line which needs resetting. Yours is no different at the moment, it's banded at 44Mbps download, and 15Mbps upload.
Once the PSTN (phone) fault has been addressed, we can run some further tests on the line to see whether it remains banded, if so, and for no good reason, we'll raise a request to have it reset.

Hi,
Thanks for the response a BT engineer came this afternoon (Sunday 15th) & replaced the Master socket & disconnected old wiring. This cleared the fault on his tester. His tester gave Faster speeds (51k down, 6700 up) but router is only connecting at much slower speeds at the moment, See below:

Thanks for getting back to us @Matt14
Woah, I'm quite surprised an engineer turned up to be honest, with us only raising the fault itself yesterday!
anyway, with your connection being through L2TP, I've been able to make some changes to the connection profile on our end. Wait 10 minutes or so before giving the router a factory reset. Once you have, run another test and let me know how you get on. If the problem persists, I'll reject the Clear Notification.

Adam,
Thanks. Unfortunately what ever you changed didn't have any effect. I've just reset the router (08:50) and each time it connects with a slightly slower upload speed. The download speed has not changed. Is it just a case of giving a bit more time for any changes to feed through to my end?
Currently connecting at Down Stream : 40708Kbps / Up Stream : 5930Kbps Still nowhere near what the BT Engineer said yesterday.
DS Actual Rate : 40708000 bps US Actual Rate : 5930000 bps
DS Attainable Rate : 47243448 bps US Attainable Rate : 5930000 bps
Regards
Matt

Thanks for your response @Matt14
I've just updated the open fault Ticket on your account. Once you've responded, our Tech support team will be in touch to arrange a new appointment.
